How will I find out if there is another closure?

Stay connected with us via our Website, Facebook and Instagram, we’ll continue to update you on COVID alert level updates. We will let you know as soon as the situation changes.

What is your increased cleaning regime?

  • Additional COVID-19 cleans throughout the day which all Club Managers complete daily and notes down on the schedule the times cleaned and areas which were covered. The schedule followed ensures that we are cleaning every alternative hour - these cleans would cover areas such as door handles, countertops, barbells, weights etc.

  • Contracted Cleaners attend clubs daily, the teams will ensure all bathrooms and showers are cleaned.

  • Jetts Housekeeping Open and Close Checks which is completed by Club Managers daily in addition to the COVID-19 cleaning schedule.

  • We have made available wall mounted hand sanitising stations for our members as well as antibacterial gym wipes, as an additional precaution (due to limited stock across NZ) we have an alternative of blue paper rolls and disinfectant (PERIdiem- Diversirty Spray) available to members for wiping down equipment at all times.

  • Jetts has adopted the colour-coded cleaning system to ensure staff kitchens, bathrooms/ restrooms and gym equipment are not wiped with one cloth minimising the risk of cross-infection.

Your Membership

I am a direct debit member, how will this affect me?

If you are an Auckland club member your direct debit membership has been paused as of Wednesday 12 August when the lockdown began. When we reopen your membership will automatically restart, unless you were on hold prior to the lockdown.

Your next payment will occur on your usual billing cycle as of Monday 31 August - but the amount may differ.

This is how your next payment back will be calculated:

All membership payments are made in advance to cover the billing cycle ahead – i.e. the next 7 days for a weekly payment. When a suspension is applied or removed within a billing cycle, there may now be some credit on the membership, or in some instances, an overdue amount.

  • The difference in payment is worked out by putting any days you paid for in advance from 12 August into a credit amount.

  • When the pause ends, any days due from 31 August until your next payment date will be added onto your regular instalment as a part payment.

  • Therefore the amount will be worked out as – your usual membership payment minus the credit, plus the part payment.

Please note that if you fall on a fortnightly payment cycle, this may mean that your next payment will be the week following reopening and may cause a part payment of more than 8 days on top of your normal membership instalment.

Any payments that were owing prior to 12 August will be attempted on your next billing date as well.

Out of Auckland members have not been affected.

I’m a paid in advance membership, how will this affect me?

If you have an Auckland Paid in Advance membership, this was put on hold as of Wednesday 12 August. Upon reopening you will receive the same amount of time back on your membership, so you won’t lose any days.

Out of Auckland members have not been affected.

I still got charged whilst the gyms were closed. I want a refund.

If your membership was incorrectly debited after the Government imposed shutdown (from Wednesday 12 August) please contact membership@jetts.co.nz to discuss.

Can I place my membership on hold?

If you are an Auckland club member your membership was put on hold from 12 August. When Auckland clubs reopen on Monday 31 August your payments will automatically restart, unless you were on hold prior to the lockdown.

I don’t feel comfortable returning to the gym yet.

During the enforced closure, we’ve been here with you online, keeping you motivated to stay active with our Jetts At Home workouts. Our clubs are reopening, but the great news is you can also continue working out with your favourite instructors in the comfort of your home at no charge.

We value every member and understand that everyone’s circumstances are different, especially during this difficult time. Please reach out to membership@jetts.co.nz so we can help you stay active.
