Following the announcement on Monday 5 October by the NZ Government - Auckland will move to Alert Level 1 at 11:59 pm on Wednesday 7 October along with the rest of New Zealand.
While all Jetts NZ Clubs will remain open, the health and safety of our members and staff remains our top priority. See the official government announcement here. It means Jetts clubs can be open and will continue to maintain our increased cleaning regime, and ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to as well as offering hand sanitisers and sanitising wipes for all members and staff.
What you can expect in Level 1:
Equipment will remain spaced but all signage removed and for the safety of members and staff alike social distancing of 1.5m will be maintained where possible.
Small group fitness classes can reconvene, ensuring equipment is wiped down before and after each use, as well as a safe distance between members, staff and PTs. Numbers will be monitored and limited to maintain these standards.
Mandatory personal towels and water bottles to be used by all members.
Increased cleaning and sanitation, including Antibacterial Sanitising Wipes.
No shared equipment unless disinfected between uses.
Assist health authorities with contact tracing
by encouraging all members to scan the QR codes which can be found on the club entrance doors.
Additional COVID-19 cleans throughout the day which all Club Managers complete daily and notes down on the schedule the times cleaned and areas which were covered. The schedule followed ensures that we are cleaning every alternative hour - these cleans would cover areas such as door handles, countertops, barbells, weights etc.
Contracted Cleaners attend clubs daily, the teams will ensure all bathrooms and showers are cleaned.
Jetts Housekeeping Open and Close Checks which is completed by Club Managers daily in addition to the COVID-19 cleaning schedule.
We have made available wall mounted hand sanitising stations for our members as well as antibacterial gym wipes.
Jetts has adopted the colour-coded cleaning system to ensure staff kitchens, bathrooms/ restrooms and gym equipment are not wiped with one cloth minimising the risk of cross-infection.
All Jetts NZ clubs have 24/7 access.
