What does Alert Level 2 mean for the rest of NZ?

All Jetts Clubs outside of Auckland are open under Level 2. The rest of NZ will move to the new Protection Framework 11:59pm Thursday 2 December. If you have uploaded your My Vaccine Pass ahead of time you will maintain your 247 access, otherwise you can verify it in person during staffed hours.

How will this affect my payments?

When Auckland reopens under the Protection Framework your membership will automatically restart. Your first payment will be on your usual billing cycle.

If you are not vaccinated and will not be returning to the gym please get in touch with [email protected] before billing resumes.

This is how your next payment will be calculated: All membership payments are made in advance to cover the billing cycle ahead – i.e. the next 7 days for a weekly payment. When a suspension is applied or removed within a billing cycle, there may now be some credit on the membership, or in some instances, an overdue amount. 1) The difference in payment is worked out by putting any days you paid for in advance from prior to lockdown into a credit amount. 2) When the pause ends, any days due until your next payment date will be added onto your regular instalment as a part payment. 3) Therefore the amount will be worked out as – your usual membership payment minus the credit, plus the part payment. Any payments that were owing prior to club closures will be attempted on your next billing date as well. If you have a Paid in Advance membership, upon reopening you will receive the same amount of time back on your membership, so you won’t lose any days.

What is your increased cleaning regime?

  • Additional COVID-19 cleans throughout the day which all Club Managers complete daily and notes down on the schedule the times cleaned and areas which were covered. The schedule followed ensures that we are cleaning every alternative hour - these cleans would cover areas such as door handles, countertops, barbells, weights etc.

  • Contracted Cleaners attend clubs daily, the teams will ensure all bathrooms and showers are cleaned.

  • Jetts Housekeeping Open and Close Checks which is completed by Club Managers daily in addition to the COVID-19 cleaning schedule.

  • We have made available wall mounted hand sanitising stations for our members as well as antibacterial gym wipes.

  • Jetts has adopted the colour-coded cleaning system to ensure staff kitchens, bathrooms/ restrooms and gym equipment are not wiped with one cloth minimising the risk of cross-infection.

Do I need to wear a mask?

You are required to wear a mask whenever possible. You must show up to the gym with your mask. However this is not mandatory while exercising.

How will you do contact tracing?

All clubs have COVID Tracer QR codes at entry points for members to scan in. This will assist the Ministry of Health with any contact tracing. You are also required to swipe into the club with your access tag, this will allow us to trace when you have entered and left the club.

What is the capacity of the volume of people allowed within the club?

COVID-19 PROTECTION FRAMEWORK

What is the new framework?

The Government has announced the next stage of the COVID-19 response plan to provide a pathway out of lockdown and give vaccinated New Zealanders more freedom. The new COVID-19 Protection Framework will come into effect once 90% of eligible New Zealanders are fully vaccinated.

Auckland is likely to be the first region to move into this framework in early December.

It will introduce a new 3-level approach (Red, Orange & Green) to managing COVID-19 and involve the use of vaccine certificates.

What will the new Framework mean for gyms?

In the Red or Orange settings, gyms that do not request proof of vaccine will not be able to operate. In the Green setting, gyms that do not request proof of vaccine will have capacity restrictions.

Will Jetts Fitness require its members to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

In the regions that have the new framework implemented, gyms, including Jetts Fitness will have vaccination certificate requirements, meaning members must be fully vaccinated to enter our clubs in those regions. This will apply to all existing members and new members who wish to join.

How will Jetts Fitness verify that I am vaccinated against COVID-19?

There are two ways you can provide proof of vaccination:

  1. Save time and login to the Jetts member portal and follow the steps to upload your COVID-19 Digital Pass online. If you are a 24/7 member and wish to visit the gym outside of staffed hours, you will need to follow this process prior to your first visit.

  2. If you would prefer not to upload your certificate online, bring it with you during staffed hours and our Club Managers will verify in person. Staffed hours can be viewed on our club pages here.

You will only need to verify your Vaccine Pass once. See our Privacy Policy for Vaccination Status here.

Does Jetts Fitness require staff and PT’s to be vaccinated?

As per the framework, staff and PT’s will also be required to provide vaccination certificates for entry.

What if I don’t wish to be vaccinated or am waiting for my second dose?

If you do not wish to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or are waiting to receive your second dose please contact us on 0800 JETTS 247 or email [email protected] to discuss what options we have available for your membership.

What information will Jetts Fitness hold about My Vaccine Pass?

The only information we will keep is that we have verified your My Vaccine Pass and its expiry date.

The COVID-19 Vaccination Status Privacy Collection Statement explains how we collect and keep your vaccination status information. We do these things to comply with Public Health Orders made under the Public Health Response Act 2020 and requirements of the Ministry of Health.

What if I have an exemption to being vaccinated?

Those who have been granted a medical exemption will still be able to generate a My Vaccine Pass and verify this in the same way. Letters of exemption (including those from Doctors) are not a valid exemption. You can find out more about exemptions here.
